Masters in Pedagogy and Practice: Costs

You are here >> MA in Pedagogy and Practice >> Costs
Note: These costs are in the stages of finalisation and so should be considered as DRAFT.

Costs for an individual

  • Subscribing to each module will cost about £850 - there are 2 modules for the Diploma Stage and 2 for the Dissertation
  • If you subscribe to the complete package then there is a discount of about 10% so the complete package will cost about £3000

Costs for an institution

  • Subscribing to each module will cost £850 (1) - there are 2 modules for the Diploma Stage and 2 for the Dissertation
  • If you subscribe to the complete package then there is a discount of about 30% so the complete package will cost about £3000
  • If a group subscribes to the whole Diploma Stage then the following cost reductions apply (2)
    • For 10 teachers 1 teacher will be free,
    • For 20 teachers 3 teachers will be free.

(1) This is similar to about 2 days INSET course if you include fees, supply and expenses - and the research indicates that the impact on learning of such courses are quite low whereas the impact of a longer more focussed study are much higher.

(2) The institution would commit to costs at the start of the Diploma stage and the fees would still apply if teachers dropped out.

What does this include?

  • In the Diploma stage there will be regular tutorials / group meetings at the University (or possibly in your institution depending on numbers),
  • There will be study "weekends" for each module (see the structure) focussing on pedagogic understanding and research methods as well as opportunities for group, peer and tutor evaluations.
  • There will be extensive on-line tasks, materials, print materials and other on-line support.
  • You will be allocated a personal mentor / supervisor for the duration of the Diploma and a supervisor for the disseratation.
